The Research Incubator in Neonatal Kidney Disease (RINK) is a multidisciplinary research consortium that will build on the success of the Neonatal Kidney Collaborative and foster continue collaboration to improve outcomes in neonates with kidney disease. The RINK will be holding a meeting in person at PAS on April 23rd, 2026 from 1-5pm. The event is FREE to participate for those registered for PAS.

Description

The course is designed to deliver an overview of current research advances and clinical practice strategies in neonatal nephrology, including acute kidney injury (AKI), fluid balance, congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract (CAKUT), and understanding AKI as a multisystem disease. This session will also include clinical and case-based management of CRRT, AKI/ oliguria, and nephrotoxic AKI. The session will also focus on cutting edge material in neonatal nephrology including near-infrared spectroscopy, novel biomarkers of acute kidney injury, and neonatal CRRT devices.

Awards

The NKC will be giving out three awards this spring: a Travel Trainee Award, an Early Career Award, and a Mid Career Award. The travel trainee award includes a $250 travel stipend for PAS. The winners of the Early and Mid Career Award will be announced at the PAS conference. Go to the awards page to vote for a fellow NKC member (or yourself!).
